An Our 67th District Nonprofit of the Year Is...

I am proud to announce that Animal Friends of the Valleys has been selected as the 2021 California Non-Profit of the Year for our 67th Assembly District.

Each year, in honor of California Nonprofits Day (ACR 80), Legislators from across the state highlight a nonprofit from their district that has provided exemplary service to their community.
The employees and volunteers at Animals Friends of the Valleys are dedicated to promoting the humane and compassionate care of animals through education and proactive animal services programs. Animal companions bring joy and comfort to so many individuals and families, and Animal Friends of the Valleys provides an invaluable service by helping them find their forever home.
Originally formed in 1987 under the name Lake Elsinore Animal Friends (LEAF), Animal Friends of the Valleys (AFV) is a nonprofit animal shelter that now serves the cities of Temecula, Murrieta, Wildomar, Lake Elsinore, Canyon Lake, Menifee, and surrounding rural county areas.

AFV provides a safe haven for all small animals while working to become a full service animal care facility that offers quality and affordable care. Last year, AFV opened its doors to over 8500 animals and is pleased to report the highest adoption rate in their 30-year history.

Please join me in congratulating Animal Friends of the Valleys!
