New Year, New Session

Today is the first day of the 2022 legislative session. That means new bill proposals, new budget discussions, and new business being discussed in Sacramento.

It has been my absolute honor and pleasure to represent you and our 67th district this past year, and I am ready to tackle all the hard work that lies ahead.

My priority has always been listening to your needs and fighting for the issues and concerns of our communities.

In 2021, my team assisted over 2000 constituents with resolving issues with state government agencies including the Department of Motor Vehicles, the Franchise Tax Board, and of course the Employment Development Department (EDD).  Remember, if you need assistance, the district office can help you navigate through the system and get your questions answered or refer you to a government agency or community organization.

We also passed important legislation to reform government policy, combat fraud, and protect citizens from identity theft. AB 12 prohibits state departments and agencies like EDD from sending outgoing mail to an individual containing their complete social security number.

As a new year begins, if you would like updates on bills working their way through the legislature, or if you have a comment or question, please contact my office. We anticipate a variety of new proposals on public safety, vaccines, our recall process, water, wildfires, the environment, healthcare, and education.

Your opinions are important and valued. You can also fill out this SURVEY anytime and share your priorities.

It is my job to make sure that your voice is heard on the Assembly floor and that the values important to you are represented at the State Capitol.

My staff and I look forward to serving you in 2022, and I will continue to send you updates to make sure you are informed about how things in Sacramento affect our district. Thank you.
