An official ribbon-cutting was held Tuesday for the opening of Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott at 30140 Town Center Drive in Menifee. Dozens of dignitaries turned out for Tuesday's celebration, including 67th District State Assemblymember Kelly Seyarto (R-Murrieta) and Menifee Mayor Bill Zimmerman.

The Southwest California Legislative Council, a business advocacy coalition of local Chambers of Commerce, evaluated 103 of the measures this session, bills it was determined would have the greatest impact for benefit or harm to our local business community. Our Theme was United We Stand, and we honored the day with a Patriotic theme and decor. The highlight of the decor was our Ice Sculpture of the Statue of Liberty which was a HUGE hit. Assemblyman Kelly Seyarto was gracious enough to honor us by inducting the LEVCC Board of Directors.

SACRAMENTO – Frustrated with the Democratic leadership’s cancellation and indefinite postponement of the Wildfire Prevention and Forest Resiliency hearing originally scheduled for Aug. 18, the Assembly Republican Wildfire Working Group hosted its own informational forum to discuss the barriers, challenges, and solutions to preventing catastrophic wildfires. “At a time when wildfires are raging across California, it is unconscionable that the wildfire oversight hearing was abruptly canceled,” Assemblyman Kelly Seyarto, R-Murrieta, said.
Menifee will host a Day of Remembrance ceremony at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, at Central Park. Assembly Member Kelly Seyarto, R- Murrieta, a former Murrieta City Council member and retired firefighter, will speak at the free event. A flag display will represent those who died. Residents can place flags on the field before the event, and families can decorate luminary bags to be placed throughout the park.
