Celebrating Constitution Week

September 17th – 23rd is Constitution Week.

This celebration, created by the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and enacted in 1956, was established to commemorate America's most important document.

The Constitution is our foundation, our heritage. It established the framework of our government, and it preserves and protects our unalienable rights, the freedoms “We the People” are blessed to enjoy as Americans.

This week, please take a moment to reflect on the importance of this document. Read it, teach your children about it, and remember all those who have fought to defend it.

As your State Representative, I swore an oath to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution, and I take that responsibility seriously. I hope you will join me, other elected officials, communities, and citizens across this country as we celebrate and honor Constitution Week.
